Recent/Current Movies

I saw "The Love Guru" over the weekend. Although I ended up enjoying the movie overall, it is one that could have waited for a DVD rental. After finding some funny youtube videos a couple months ago, I had a bit of anticipation built around the release of this film. I almost walked out about a third of the way into the movie, having reached my fill of bland nonsense, being passed off as humor.

I saw "Get Smart" last friday night and it was good fun. "The Office" is one of the few TV shows I take time for, and I generally like Steve Carell performances.

I was a kid when "Get Smart" was a current TV show and thought it was a hoot. This movie stayed true to the original characters, with the exception of 99, who I felt was played by too young of an actress (Anne Hatheway). Anne did a fine job with the role. What I really think I would have liked to see was Jan (
Melora Hardin from The Office) as Agent 99.
