What was it I was going to say? Hmmmmm. Can't recall...
Oh right, that's what it was - your pants are on fire.

We've all had philosophies come into our lives that help us "get along" a little easier during life's journey. A simple one that has been a favorite and stuck with me for many years is a metaphor I've come to know as "The Grocery Store Method"...
We've all (well, most of us anyway) practiced this method in it's literal sense:
I go into a grocery store and there's all manor of stuff in there that I not only wouldn't use, need, or buy; but there is also a bunch-o-stuff that I actually don't like!
I won't go into details, but the point is:
I get what I want
I get to explore and try new things
I allow that there are things others like that I don't
I don't get upset or offended because there are things there that I don't like
and most of all (my favorite)...
I get what I want and leave the rest behind!

You get what you want?
You say you get what you want and leave the rest behind.
These days I get what I can afford, and leave all kinds of things I want behind. I do get your point though.
