Jacaranda!
I love it when the Jacaranda trees are in bloom. I love saying the word - "JACARANDA" - as if it were a place I lived... "Where are you from?" Oh me? I'm from JACARANDA.
I realize these trees are not uniquely "Hawaiian", but the Big Island is the only place I've ever seen them. They're beautiful, and there's something wild about a purple tree. Some people would say they're blue. I see purple. Majestically beautiful, and yet other-worldly - like I've stepped into a cartoon; a "Roger Rabbit" movie.
It's also amazing the way they can carpet the ground with purple blossoms. You can see a panorama of one by clicking the tab on the home page (unless you're too late and it's been replaced).

I'm new, and I luv this site!
Thanks to the people at Luv Lingo for such a positive and wonderful site! And for exploring and giving gratitude to the art, music, dance & all of the good things we do indeed see around us. I hope to be a regular contributor and have enjoyed particularly the socially conscious blurbs on here with their (sometimes strange) little twists of humor!
I live in Kona and am a hair artist, with many other artistic explorations on the side (African drumming, motherhood, inventions!) Please visit myspace And if you wish to, check out my fun new little you tube!
Aloha! >> Read More | Comment | Share <<
